Dynamo AI Helps Accelerate Experian’s Safe and Secure GenAI Adoption

Global data and technology company transforms its everyday operations by integrating compliant GenAI capabilities at scale

San Francisco, February 27, 2024Dynamo AI, makers of compliant-ready AI for the enterprise, today announced that Experian has successfully productionized Dynamo AI's comprehensive security and compliance suite to enable safe and secure deployment of generative AI (GenAI) capabilities across its global operations.

The relationship, which began in late 2023, has enabled Experian to rapidly scale its GenAI initiatives while maintaining rigorous security standards. Experian has integrated Dynamo AI's complete solution suite, including DynamoEval for streamlined red teaming, DynamoEnhance for risk identification and mitigation, and DynamoGuard for customized AI guardrails and observability.

Working with Dynamo AI, Experian established a comprehensive security framework for assessing and mitigating GenAI risks, including tooling to support penetration testing of LLMs and real-time monitoring. It also customized AI guardrails to block unauthorized content that are both cost-effective and scalable across the organization.

“At Experian we champion the responsible use of GenAI to accelerate new product and service innovations, drive operational productivity, increase financial inclusion, open new opportunities for consumers, and prevent fraud,” said Connie Cheung, Vice President of Engineering at Experian. “With Dynamo AI, we can rapidly deploy solutions knowing we are safeguarded against the ever-evolving threats that come in with GenAI. We look forward to continuing to partner with Dynamo AI to enhance our client offerings with state-of-the-art GenAI security features.”

Navigating risks and vulnerabilities in a heavily regulated industry like Experian’s is a complex challenge. Regulatory standards are continually evolving, requiring companies to safeguard against emerging AI risks such as data leakage, jailbreaking, and hallucinations.

“In this highly regulated, ever-evolving landscape, the ability to evaluate the latest LLM risks is critical. Working together with Experian, we’ve made significant advancements in daily operations and scalability, strengthened compliance efforts across the leading AI risk frameworks, streamlined governance processes across diverse GenAI use cases, and empowered application teams to tailor robust guardrails for their specific needs,” said Christian Lau Mugunthan, Chief Product Officer at Dynamo AI. “We’re eager to help the company further drive its AI initiatives and capabilities in the years ahead.”

The implementation has yielded significant results, with Experian successfully deploying GenAI applications across multiple use cases, including customer support and call center chatbots. The company has achieved notably low false positive rates across its custom guardrails while maintaining high recall performance, ensuring robust security without compromising user experience.

DynamoAI's solution analyzes typical prompts in less than 20 milliseconds, significantly outperforming traditional guardrail solutions while maintaining lower operational costs. This efficiency has been crucial for Experian's ability to protect consumer data while defending against LLM misuse in real-time.

Experian has integrated the entire Dynamo AI product suite as a layer on top of Experian’s GenAI platform and has been in production for approximately 12 months. It is currently being used across North America, the EU, and the UK with further plans to expand integrations across its GenAI efforts in additional regions.
