London, UK, 14 November 2014 – Experian today announced that it has been recognised as a ‘Future Champion’ at the National Business Awards 2014 in the UK. As finalists in The Santander Corporate Citizenship Award, Experian was commended for how it uses its people, data and technology to foster innovation that delivers social impact within its communities around the world.
Highlighting the role of business in addressing social challenges and improving the communities in which they operate, this award recognises those achieving the greatest impact by aligning corporate citizenship with commercial objectives.

In the last year, Experian has launched a pioneering new global programme to encourage colleagues to bid for funding to create commercial products that help improve peoples’ financial lives. 12 projects have been funded, ranging from new ways to identify and help millions of people in India gain access to vital services, through to an online portal allowing 2m Brazilians to understand and renegotiate debts direct with their lenders.
