CPO Commerce purchases Experian QAS software to improve operational efficiency
Retailer rolls out address verification on ecommerce sites to prevent undeliverable packages

Boston, Mass., Aug. 23 2011 — Experian® QAS®, a part of Experian Marketing Services and a leading provider of address verification software and services, today announced that CPO Commerce has rolled out QAS Pro On Demand across all of its Demandware-powered ecommerce sites. The product is expected to reduce the number of returned packages while also improving employee efficiency.

“Nearly 10 percent of our addresses had some level of inaccuracy,” said Brandon Cipes, director of technology at CPO Commerce. “Once that data was entered, it was distributed to so many different places that it was nearly impossible to completely correct on the back end. We needed to put a tool in place to guarantee clean address data upon entry but also to ensure a seamless experience for the customer.”

The tool automatically verifies a customer’s address and offers recommendations if the address is inaccurate. The retailer expects the improved address quality to reduce address correction fees and decrease employee time spent manually correcting inaccurate information on returned packages.
