Hong Kong, 8 April 2010 – Experian®, the global information services company, today announced the deployment of FMT’s Octopus™ platform as a component of its hosted Hunter application fraud prevention platform in Australia.
As a result of the partnership with FMT, Experian has integrated additional services such as address and drivers licence number validation into the fraud prevention service. Experian’s clients and their customers will benefit from the enhanced level of protection Hunter can deliver in real-time protecting themselves from ever increasing fraud threats.
FMT’s patented and award winning e-business software platform, Octopus™, sits in front of any existing application or website and allows clients to deploy numerous custom functions and applications. These applications can be developed and deployed easily using a library of drag and drop rules and may even be extended by the customer.
“Consistent with global trends we have seen a significant growth in fraud rates in Australia and have been working hard to offer a more extensive service to better serve our clients and address the fraud threats they face. FMT’s platform was easily and quickly deployed, allowing us to respond even more quickly to a rapidly changing fraud environment. With a history of internationally recognised innovation, FMT is a partner we can work with on bringing new services to market faster” said Paul Vescovi, Managing Director of Experian, Australia and New Zealand.
“FMT is committed to driving a very successful partnership with Experian. We are excited about the value we can create for the market and the contribution that this makes to the fight against fraud” said Kostas Siourthas, CEO of FMT.
