Experian enhances collections capabilities with new innovations for Tallyman

  • Hosted version significantly reduces dependency on IT resources
  • Pre-configured range puts advanced collections capability within reach of smaller creditors

Nottingham, UK, 25 February 2010 — Experian®, the global information services company, today announced two new developments for its collections management software tool Tallyman. Adding even greater flexibility to how the software’s capabilities are accessed, Tallyman will now be available as a hosted service, managed from Experian’s data centre. In addition, Experian has also launched a range of off-the-shelf Tallyman modules, each one optimally configured to the particular requirements of one of a range of standard lending models.

Tallyman combines sophisticated collections functionality with real-time access to Experian’s consumer information repository. Combined with internal client data and industry leading analytics, Tallyman helps organisations to precisely target customers to achieve greater success with each contact made. The software enables organisations to improve collections performance whilst also providing sensitive and appropriate treatment for vulnerable debtors.

The introduction of the hosted service enables companies with limited IT resources, capital expenditure or data centre capacity to access Tallyman via a monthly pricing model. Managed securely from Experian’s data centre, Tallyman’s hosted service integrates with Experian’s data and analytics and is automatically updated with the latest functionality.

Experian has also developed and built into Tallyman a range of modules, each configuring the software to meet a set of best-practice requirements for the needs of all standard lending models. Ideal for smaller creditors, the range includes functionality enabling providers of unsecured loans, mortgages, asset-backed finance and revolving credit products to further improve the effectiveness and efficiency of collections activities.

The modular version of Tallyman can be implemented quickly and cost-effectively and can be implemented on client systems, or as part of Experian’s new hosted service.

Simon Waller, Head of Collections, Experian UK and Ireland, comments: “These latest enhancements to Tallyman provide companies of all sizes and resources with access to Experian’s array of proven collections capabilities. The introduction of the hosted Tallyman service and new modular options means that organisations can precisely scale their collections activities to deliver against their business requirements.”
