The Traveling Trends of Both Sides of the Pond

The Traveling Trends of Both Sides of the Pond

New study from Experian Simmons

New York, N.Y., December 8, 2008 The holiday season is one of the busiest traveling periods of the year, making this an opportune time to review how U.S. adults travel and how they compare with British and European travelers. Clear distinctions and similarities between the traveling behaviors and preferences of U.S. consumers and other surveyed regions have been found in a recent report by Future Foundation, a sister company of Experian® SimmonsSM.  Future Foundation compared its data with Experian Simmons’ to create the Trends-Atlantic Report, which reviews differences in the characteristics of people from America, Great Britain and European countries. The report covers multiple topics, including consumer travel behavior and preferences.

In the midst of the holiday season, an increasingly global market and the surge of European tourists visiting America due to the higher euro value, it is important to look at the travel preferences and characteristics of the U.S. and other consumer populations. Understanding the various consumer populations’ cultural distinctions and similarities is becoming more critical in today’s business world.
