Saint Clare's Health System to Discuss Operational Benefits of QAS Deployment During Webinar

BOSTON – April 24, 2008 – QAS, an Experian® (LSE: EXPN) company specializing in customer data quality software and services, today announced it will host a webinar with Saint Clare’s Health System, northwest New Jersey’s largest community health organization. Within 90 days after implementing QuickAddress Pro at all patient registration sites, Saint Clare’s Health System has seen a significant improvement in address data quality resulting in accelerated patient billing cycles and more effective patient communication. During a free webinar on Thursday, May 1, 2008, executives from Saint Clare’s will discuss how they were able to achieve these impressive results so quickly.

Ensuring data accuracy at the point-of-capture is critical in healthcare systems due to the ripple effect erroneous data has across the continuum of care. A mistake as simple as transposing an address number or misspelling a street name during patient registration can create serious problems with billing and post-care patient communication. Saint Clare’s cash flow was adversely affected by inaccurate address data captured at patient intake and later used for patient billing, resulting in returned bills. Saint Clare’s Information Technology Department recognized that improving patient contact data was essential to driving higher patient satisfaction and improving the health system’s financial performance. The IT team implemented QuickAddress Pro at all points of address capture across the organization’s four main campuses and supplemental satellite offices to prevent address errors from ever entering its patient database.

During the webinar, Saint Clare’s executives will share suggestions for developing patient address management best practices such as:

- Reducing manual processes used to input data into important operational systems
- Minimizing problems at the point-of-capture before they can proliferate across multiple systems
- Identifying the business impact of bad addresses
- Addressing how to efficiently roll out a multi-site system
- Implementing effective employee training
